Twelf centuries of spatial transformation The study 'Twelf centuries of spatial transformation in the western Netherlands' is the main topic of this issue of OverHolland. It is part of the research programme Mapping Randstad Holland. This programme focuses on the long-term development of the Randstad region in the West of the Netherlands. Both the spatial transformation and the underlying historical processes are charted at three levels: the regional, urban and architectural scale. About the series OverHolland published by the Faculty of Architecture of the Delft University of Technology contains studies on the architecture of the towns and cities of the provinces of Holland (Noord- en ZuidHolland).
